A press release issued by the Ghana Youth Authority stated that the 2021 edition of the summit which will be held from 20th-22nd October 2021, will be a hybrid event “hosted by the Government of Ghana’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, implemented by the National Youth Authority in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). “

The YCA summit according to the press release has been providing “a high-level platform for youth leaders and development stakeholders to synergize around policies, programs and partnership”

This year’s summit will be held under the theme: “Africa Beyond Aid: Positioning the Youth for the Post-Covid Economy and AfCFTA opportunities.”

The YouthConnekt Africa Hub has grown to include “23 African countries with long term sponsors and partners including KOICA and the Rwandan Government”. It also has high-level participation from various UN agencies, African ministers of youth, the private sector and youth-led organizations.

There is also the opportunity for brand sponsorship for organizations that seek to engage African Youth and youth development segments at a scale.

Organizers say the official program includes custom-themed panels, the YCA awards, creative side events, information on strategic Youth initiatives among other contents.
