Mali has been suspended from the AU twice now in nine months after the coup last week and the AU is calling for the immediate recall of tropes to assigned barracks.

This suspension will carry on until not only constitutional order is restored but time table for elections remain same as well.

Elections will therefore be held next year 2022 between February and March and the country return to civilian rule. APart from the suspension, it threatens further sanctions if the military delays in handing back power or if there be any intervention in transition to civilian rule. Interestingly, they also implored the International community to extend financial support to Mali.
