Ghanaian striker, Inaki Williams was forced off in the match against Cadiz after sustaining an injury.

This is his first injury since 2016. Inaki broke the deadlock in the opening minutes of the game and then missed a penalty but unfortunately couldn’t complete the game as he was substituted in the 54th minute.

Inaki, 28, has gone over 6 years without missing a game, having avoided injury and suspension. He has played 236 games during that period. The Ghanaian striker holds the record for most consecutive games played in La Liga. If Inaki doesn’t play on Sunday against Espanyol due to his recent injury, his record could end.

Williams will be hoping to recover in time to feature against Espanyol and extend his astonishing record.

Inaki Williams, formerly a Spain International, switched his allegiance in June to represent the Black Stars of Ghana and could feature for the nation for the first time next month.

Ghana will play Nicaragua and Brazil in pre-World Cup friendlies in September.
