Vivo Energy apologizes to customers, promises to compensate affected customers

Vivo Energy has rendered an apology to its consumers who purchased fuel on Sunday, August 28 at the Atimpoku shell filling station in the Eastern Region.

According to the company, a technical hitch caused the unfortunate situation on Sunday 28th August 2022.

A heavy downpour in the vicinity led to water ingress in the underground of the super tank. And unfortunately, some customers who purchased fuel had some problems with their engines.

Upon noticing the situation sale of fuel was immediately stopped according to the management of the company while also revealing that there have been a compensation package put together for customers who were affected by the incident.

 “We continue to be in touch with the affected customers to ensure full closure whilst further investigations continue to permanently resolve the issue and prevent any future occurrences.”

The company has assured the public that it is assiduously working round the clock to address the issue. It maintains that it is still committed to the sale of quality fuel as this was an isolated case.

On the other hand, the National Petroleum Authority on being notified about the situation immediately halted operations of the Shell station as the forensic audit is being carried out into the said fuel by the Ghana Standard Authority.
