Ghana versus Portugal in Brazil 2014 World Cup

Ghana will face a repeat of the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil as the Black Stars are set to face Portugal in Group H’s opening match. The last one was the final group game in Group G where John Boye’s own goal and a Christiano Ronaldo 80th minute goal on either side of Asamoah Gyan’s 57th goal guided the Black Stars out of the competition.

The West Africans will also have South Korea and Uruguay to contend with, with one of those matches being a repeat of the 2010 show in South Africa where Ghana exited in a controversial fashion in the quarter-finals.

As for South Korea, the last time the two nations met in 2014 in June, Jordan Ayew scored a hat-trick with Asamoah adding another as the match ended 4-0 in favour of the Black Stars.

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will kick off on November 21 2022 and conclude on December 18. Having missed the last edition and also failing to get out of the group in its last appearance, Ghana will be anxious to get things going from the onset when they face the Portuguese.
