Cameroon vs Ethiopia

The host nation, Cameroon, is the first to qualify for the knockout phase of the ongoing Afcon.

Vincent Aboubakar and Toko Ekambi netted a brace each as Cameroon beat a spirited Ethiopia side 4-1 to extend their perfect start to the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ethiopia took the lead earlier on through Dawa Hotessa in the 4th minute but Ekambi got the game levelled for the host 4 minutes later.

Captain of the host nation Vincent Aboubakar netted a brace and a second goal for Ekambi wrapped up the result though after a brilliant second-half display, as Cameroon became the first team to book their place in the last 16.

This win ensured Cameroon have the option of resting key men in their final group match against Cape Verde.

It was four for Cameroon with 20 minutes remaining as they ruthlessly exploited some tired Ethiopian legs.

That was a successive comeback win for the Indomitable Lions and have shown a class in front of the goal that no other team has yet been able to produce.
