According to reports reaching, the signing of Romelu Lukaku could eventually see Timo Werner head back to his home country.

The German has played one minute in Chelsea’s two Premier League games since Lukaku arrived from Inter Milan, and the reports claim that he could look to leave next summer if his role doesn’t change.

Nagelsmann, succeeded Hansi Flick as Bayern Munich boss this summer, and according to reports would be happy to bring his former charge now plying his trade in the English league to the Bavarian ranks. Nagelsmann and Werner have been in contact over the years.

What could push the deal through is that Werner shares an agent with Nagelsmann as well as Bayern players like Niklas Sule and Dayot Upamecano.

Werner’s contract at Chelsea could make it a very expensive deal but reports reaching myactiveoline.com says that there’s a 70 per cent chance the deal will push through.

The possibility of Bayern signing Haaland is less and the renewal of veteran striker Lewandowski’s contract which expires in 2023 is very less as well as he seeks to explore new challenges elsewhere. This situation would leave them in need of a new striker and Werner is the tipped target.

Their one season working together in 2019/20 was by far the most prolific of the striker’s career, as he scored 28 Bundesliga goals, second only to Lewandowski.
