Research reveals NDC and NPP candidates for 2024, only 26% of Ghanaians trust Akufo-Addo

In the second national tracking poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics across Ghana’s sixteen regions, Trade Minister Alan Kojo Kyeremanten fought back in the race to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2024.

According to the poll, he rallied from behind to take a 36 per cent to 33 per cent advantage over Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

In terms of regional data, it was noted that Alan Kyeremanten swept the key regions to take the lead in the poll, such that he wins all of the regions except the Northern, North East, Upper West, and Upper East in a surprising turn of events.

In the same tracker report, Former President John Mahama continues to lead former Minister of Finance Dr. Kwabena Duffour and former Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Kojo Bonsu in the contest to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC)

According to the survey, John Mahama has 57 per cent of the vote, Dr Duffour has 12 per cent, and Kojo Bonsu has 4 per cent.

In addition, the president’s job approval rating has dropped from 34% in January 2022 to 27% in April 2022, according to the poll. 67 per cent of voters disapprove of the president’s job performance, resulting in a net approval rating of 40% negative (approval minus disapproval).

Only 26% of voters believe the country is headed in the right direction, while 67% believe it is headed in the wrong direction.
