The former Central Regional chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Bernard Allotey Jacobs said he has dismissed himself from the party. He said this in a recent interview on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Morning Show.

Having said that he will never support the NPP, he added that he cannot deny President Akufo-Addo’s leadership efforts. He noted that Akufo-Addo has brought a new form of leadership and governance in the country. He thus has fallen in love with him.

Allotey Jacobs disclosed that dismissing himself from the NDC makes sense. Stating that since the NDC first dismissed him from the party it was only logical to do same too.

“I no longer belong to the NDC. I am not an NPP member and will never be. But the fact is that, I have dismissed myself from the NDC. What is happening in this country, there’s a vast change in the system. I am seeing a new type of leadership. When you take out Kwame Nkrumah, for me, I am seeing a new leadership that has been blackmailed but they are doing better now.” he added

He emphasized that he only supported Nana Addo and his vice Bawunia but not NPP.
