grid of Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, Ken Ofori-Atta

Ghana is at the crossroads of economic confusion, mismanagement of public funds, misplaced priority, and even worse with a bunch of clueless executives as a government. It’s not in doubt that there is no light at the end of the tunnel under this NPP regime of HE. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo / Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Your Excellency, President Akufo Addo, you have superintended exceedingly, overwhelming corruption scandals ever in the history of the fourth republic in these few years. You have deliberately disregarded many Constitutional stipulations to your interest, and you have appointed your ignorant family members to major strategic positions of government to your advantage and to the detriment of the country and its citizenry.

Your government have been the most arrogant since the 4th Republic, your cabinet ministers have been nothing but power drunks. They have always manipulated figures in an attempt to look good in the books of statistics and they gloat about managing Ghana better.

Every caution by renowned experts from various facets of the economy and other aspects of government fell on the deaf ears of your government. Now you and your clueless government have brought us to this crossroads of no hope.

Your vice president HE Dr Mahamudu Bawumia touted himself as the economic messiah. Conspicuously he got the best of you that you even said publicly that he is more knowledgeable than anyone else in the whole world including your good self. Most Ghanaians knew he can only be the best among the clueless elites of NPP. Fortunately, NPP is not Ghana neither it is the world.

This vice president who by convention is the head of the economic team has failed in all economic aspects of Ghana, hence the dash to evolve an advocate for digitization. We all recall when Mr President you appointed a 40-member committee to investigate the dollar depreciation to cedi at the speed of Usain Bolt. You deliberately excluded the vice president from the committee, a typical indictment on the head of the economic team. Proving a vote of no confidence in the vice president. Why then is he still in office? are you that leader who can not fire weak limbs even as they are useless?

Your finance minister has been nothing but a borrowing champion, something you called a lazy man’s approach, and, never to engage in borrowing because we are sitting on heaps of money. The finance minister further destroyed the economy by closing down indigenous banks and other microfinance institutions totalling about 470 needlessly, in a so-called Banking sector cleanup. Wasting a whopping ¢12.7 Billion cedis and more. Making payment illegally to some Sheikh in the procurement of vaccines scandal.

The same finance minister made payment of public funds in millions of cedis to the so-called National cathedral without parliamentary approval. What happened to the infamous E-Levey, you forced it down the throat of Ghanaians illegally which your finance minister, hence government touted as the panacea to all the mess your government created in the economy.  The list can go on and on. So Mr president why is the hon. Ken Ofori-Attah still not fired?

Your super arrogant family member, the road minister hon. Amoako Atta. Who struggles to construct simple english sentences, has been another champion disappointment. He is the master of arrogance in your cabinets. The road minister closed the road toll that gives Ghana about ¢69 million cedis annually, a source of revenue for the government which has the approval of all Ghanaians.

What makes it severe and regrettable, is the reasons the road minister gave for the closure of the toll on our roads. To think a minister in your government will close toll booths only in to hope of converting them into toilets in the middle of the roads.

It will be unbelievable even in the stone age for any sound-thinking human, to arrive at this heinous conclusion regarding a decision of government source of revenue. This is tantamount to causing financial loss to the state, especially when Parliament through the speaker ordered the reinstating back the toll booth. However, it was not heeded by this clueless arrogant minister of roads.

Ghana is currently in apprehension and Mr president you are very much aware of this. We go everywhere and the agitation is scary to even those of us who are not part of the government.

You must Sack some people to calm tension down, notably HE. the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the finance minister, hon. Ken Ofori Atta and the road minister hon. Amoako Atta.

Ghana can be like Sri Lanka if the agitation among the citizenry is not controlled. Sacking those who are directly the cause of the agitation will bring enormous calm to curtail the situation of the crossroads we find ourselves at.

Your predecessor and the flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) H.E. John Dramani Mahama Sacked some appointees when they fell short in his government. Notably, the former deputy communication minister Hon. Victoria Lakshmi Hamah.
