How the ‘competent’ Akufo-Addo led NPP government has destroyed Ghana
Why is the Akufo-Addo destroying Ghana yet continuously blame the ex-President John Mahama government?
Sometime in 2018, Ghana was seen as a nation heading to its collapse, it was so striking as the President was completely clueless. But today the country is finally destroyed by the President and his government whose mission remains to create, loot, and share proceeds of this country to the detriment of the entire citizenry and the generation yet unborn.
The NPP has always been the enemy to the growth and successes of our dear nation(Ghana) since the struggle for independence from our colonial masters. One would have thought that the metamorphosis in nomenclature that has always been with them (The NPP) would also affect their wicked agenda against the nation. However, that identity remained unblemished as it is the main goal of NPP to make money playing the game of abusing incumbency.
Fellow Ghanaians, as I mentioned earlier Ghana was seen heading to collapse in 2018. Because the so-called FREE SHS which was launched on September 12, 2017, was already in tatters. There was no infrastructure to accommodate the initiative. And it became the sign to every goodwill Ghanaian that H.E Akufo-Addo will not work diligently with our own 1992 constitutional stipulations.
This is because the Constitution is very emphatic on how free education for that matter Free SHS should be implemented; progressively free. But the President paid no heed to all clarion calls of wisdom by the opposition NDC, the academia, stakeholders, and almost every known CSO. And just because he wanted to take credit for where he did not sow, H.E Akufo-Addo and the NPP promised to build 350 new SHS from scratch in the first term. But till today not a single SHS has been built by the wicked government of Akufo-Addo and NPP.
There were no textbooks, no curriculum and no infrastructure for the students and that necessitated the inept swap of Green and Gold students and they were given past questions to prepare for exams as if the only significance of schooling is to write exams. What happened to knowledge imparting to the students? We saw the students got agitated, outraging the Ministry of Education and even the President which ultimately led to some students getting penalized by their respective schools.
Today, Ghana is back to power crises locally known as DUMSOR, which was long solved by the previous government of H.E John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in 2016.
The finance minister Hon Ken Ofori-atta made a confirmation of the previous government of H.E John Dramani Mahama and NDC havING solved Dumsor when he mentioned in parliament that John Mahama created excess electricity. So the question is why are we back to Dumsor? Where did this failure of a government of Akufo-Addo throw our excess electricity to?
The exchange rate is terrible, making importers and exporters shrink into their pockets.
Agriculture is another sector that has seen nothing but slogans as usual of this government. Maize especially, and many other crops are in an unprecedented shortage under Akufo-Addo and the NPP who made noise about “planting for food and jobs” which was not their brainchild anyway.
Health saw the Akufo-Addo government immediately it assumed power went to Ridge Hospital where John Mahama built a new block, removed the inscription on the new Ridge Hospital as a legacy of the John Mahama to a name of their own NPP. As the saying goes “a hunter who is born to kill elephants won’t waste time chasing birds”. Akufo-Addo is in his fifth year yet did not build any major hospital even as he promised to build 88 hospitals in 2020. He, however, changed the figure 88 to about 100 plus.
Covid-19 is almost a hoax in Ghana, many are those who believed stories of Covid-19 were complete lies or exaggerated by the government to amass wealth using the Covid-19 pandemic. Exactly so, we all are watching and the picture almost depicts the suspicion of the populace. Even to render an account of the Covid-19 Fund is a huge burden for this government. They should come out to render account to the nation for purposes of transparency and accountability. This is what any incorruptible person would have done.
Security is in a state of insecurity, from kidnapping, armed robbery, fraud, cyber fraud, serial killing, ritual killing, political dictatorship and killing, car snatching, Killing of Police and Military men and women, attacking court proceedings by NPP vigilante groups, brutalities against civilians by the so-called National Security, killing of journalists to achieve a culture of silence, etc.
Unemployment is at the worst possible ever even as the government touts itself as the best employment creators. They closed companies unduly and thousands if not millions lost their jobs. The country is so hot with hardships in every aspect of the economy.………To be continued. #fixthecountry
