Episode 5

Suuule!!  Suuule!!

Suuule!!   Suuule!!

Although in this scenario it was more a case of ‘knights of the park’, whatever madness will convince that observer to believe that the rowdy park dwellers are noblemen chanting encouraging words of victory at the two battling entangled humans within their circle might have a warped sense of nobility as the crowd that cheer instead of breaking up the fight.

But on rethinking, what is the condition surrounding the definition of that word, this may be their version of ‘the round table’.

Suuule!!  Suuule!!

Suuule!!   Suuule!!

Suuule!!   Suuule!!

Indeed it was no strange thing to see two mates having a go at it in the station.

Suuule!!  Suuule!!

Suuule!!   Suuule!!

Tactically the straining limbs of the wrestling duo try to upper hand over the other as around them a group of station denizens hail on their favourite rep, fuelling the heat. At one point Sule was almost unbalanced to the ground after taking a kick to his left heel but unfortunately for the opponent that was not his weak leg.

Quickly shaking off the shock the stunned opponent found himself eating dust after Sule kneed him in a place that should not be tampered with and then fist after fist Sule landed sweet strategic punches in swift successions.

That is Enough!

Who dared interrupt this noble duel! In anger, they peeked behind but the footfall should have long given away this perpetrator.

Oooooooooh Boom!

The umpires could only express their displeasure to such an extent. It just happened to be another Sunday morning, a usually slow day for drivers to find passengers. The boredom prevailing at this hour of the day was very stifling and occurrences like this have been happening more rarely especially with the presence of this particular uniformed man.

Young man, you seem to like the wild!

The man did not shout. His voice was just a natural… Boom Boom. And he was not exactly pleased encountering this one park rascal.

Boom has been privy to everyone within this park since he was posted to the Police station nearby. He understood the state of affairs and swore to reform this park and things have been going on as planned. His presence boosted confidence in his men and his authority yet to be questioned, that is until the afternoon the one they call ‘Red’ had dragged in a well-beaten Aboagin into the station.

His furry at Red had been directed at Red, Sule but most especially that foxy old goat when a recorded tape of Aboagin’s drunken confession had been played to his hearing.

Noooh sir Boom! Sule no dey find nobody ein trouble for here Oh!

Ignoring the bystander trying to defend the now panting fool trying to wipe perspiration from his brow with strangely womanly bloody fingers. The opponent struggling to stand up was equally sporting bleeding bruised up face.

You think you can act anyway without consequences eh? I’ll let you think twice this time.

Both Sule and Boom’s eyes widened at the same time; it was almost comical if not for the seriousness of the situation. Sule was suddenly understanding of the officer’s new vendetta against him. Equally that same instant as Boom spoke Sule lifted his shirt to clean off his sweaty face properly and what Boom saw!

You’re a SHE!

Everyone close by erupted into laughs and even Sule’s surprise gave way for the moment.

Enough that is enough now!

Partially recovering the officer brought the crowd to order, some worth.

Ehh officer oh what is wrong in being a SHE

He-SHE seemed to mock him and what annoyed Boom more was that he- no SHE was one of the few who could speak well and switch back to pidgin as easily. On closer inspection, he could now notice the womanly curves now that his brain has been rewired and beneath all that anger towards hi-Her. This will take quite some getting used to. Officer Boom has a new vow to make Sule as uncomfortable as he-SHE SHE SHE was making him feel.

Officers!

Sir!!

Bring the bloodied fool. And a few witnesses.

Yes sir. And the girl?

Sule was doing a victory inward dance until that question. She had seen a glint in Boom’s eyes and if there is one thing father had always sung into her brain was to avoid men who look at you with a glint in their eyes. And they proved right with his next words.

I will bring her. Myself.

Where was Red when one needed that fool? Sule’s thoughts were interrupted when the man of the moment appeared like a summoned phantom.

What dey go on? Officer Boom! Officer Boom!! what Sule do? Officer Boom!!

Ignoring the entrance of Red boy, officer Boom continues to lead a nervous Sule away.
