Sena Foundation Easter Gala Ends With Donation To Widows

The Sena Foundation led by its Chief Executive, Mr Precious Senafiawo organized dual-faceted Easter celebration programme to mark this year’s Easter celebration.

Held at the Nsakina Town Park in the Greater Accra Region on Sunday, April 4, 2021, the event brought life to the community to celebrate the sacred week in Christiandom.

Easter is an occasion that is celebrated by Christians to mark the resurrection of Christ after he was crucified on Good Friday. It is often marked with fanfare and sharing of goodies with neighbours especially the less privileged.

And as part of efforts to give back to society, the Sena Foundation led by its CEO Mr. Precious Senafiawo gave out bags of rice, cooking oil, cans of sardine and other assorted items to about 50 widows and less privileged people in the Nsakina community on 4th April, 2021.

Proceeding the donation exercise was 6-team soccer competition took place. The teams that took part in the competition were Kingdom FC, Salaam FC, Nsakina FC, Augustine FC, Scooby FC and Russ FC. Participating teams and individual players displayed athletic skill and grit with each team hoping to annex the the winners medal. Kingdom FC emerged victorious after several entertaining rounds of matches. The other participating teams all performed creditably well to make the event exciting.

Outstanding individual players were awarded for their masterful footballing skills. Agenda of Kingdom FC won the Golden Gloves Award, Nuhu of Scooby FC scooped the the Best Goal award and Scooby FC’s Kingsley was crowned the overall Most Valuable Player of the competition.

Mr Senafiawo, in his remarks thanked all for their roles in the success of the tournament. He also assured the community and all other stakeholders of his desire to continue to organize the event beyond the foreseeable future.
