Fulani Herdsmen in Kintampo are demanding for a police investigation into the killing of over hundred cattle spontaneously at their local ranch between two farming communities, Komendaa and Hindu in the Kintampo South District of the Bono East Region.

More than hundred (100) cattle belonging to different individuals have been shot dead by unknown persons without apparent reasons. The animals are kept on a parcel of land acquired by the cattle owners from the custodians of the land for the purposes of keeping the animals under a peaceful environment.

It is however unclear whether the animals crossed their boundaries and got into people farms to cause destructions or for whatever reasons. But it is clear that, where the animals were shot is not closer at all to any farm and there are no complaints of cattle damaging crops or any property.

It is in light of this that the spokesperson for the Herdsmen, Musah Ali is calling for thorough investigations before it leads to a reprisal attack. The Kintampo Divisional Police Command has started investigation but are yet to identify who the perpetrators are.

At the scene, they picked empty shells of local gun bullets as well as some live ammunitions.
