CHAG Launches Laboratories For Covid Testing
The Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), has inaugurated laboratories in some regions to aid in the testing for Covid-19 and other ailments.
CHAG collaborated with the UK government to put up the laboratories. Some places that benefited from the CHAG laboratories include Wenchi, Bawku, SDA Hospital -Kwadaso; Holy Family Hospital, and St Dominic Hospital- Akwatia.
Health Minister, Dr Kwaku Agyeman Manu in an interview on Peace FM and monitored by myactiveonline.com lauded initiative. He said it will ease pressure on Noguchi Memorial Institute which the country heavily depends on for Covid testing. Also, it will reduce the risk of travelling long-distances with samples for testing.
Also, the Executive Director of CHAG Dr Peter Yeboah added that the laboratories have satisfied all the requirements to aid and contribute its quota to Covid testing.
