This was revealed by Mr Eugene Arhin, Communications Director at the Jubilee House. “Expect the list to be announced by the Minister very soon,” he wrote on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, September 15.
Many groups have expressed concern over the delay in nominating the Chief Executives for the various Metropolitan ,Municipal and District Assemblies. The Chamber of Local Government even accused president Akufo-Addo of using an unnecessary and unproductive process in nominating the MMDCEs.
Initially, the president directed that MMDCEs in his first term should continue acting in office which he was criticised for.
The president’s continuous delay in appointing MMDCEs also resulted in legal action from South Dayi legislator Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor.
