The body in charge of conducting the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) the West African Examination Council has revealed that one of its online result platforms is, unfortunately, showing errors with grades on results.

WAEC revealed that the situation on the ERESULTS.WAECGH.ORG platform was due to a technical hitch that occurred on December 10th between  4:45 pm and 6:00 pm.

The council explained that “This resulted in subjects which originally had Grade B3 with the interpretation, GOOD being changed to Grade A1 with the interpretation GOOD still showing, clearly indicating an error”.

The platform has thus been shut down with WAEC announcing that the problem has been solved as well while assuring members of the public that its results database is still “secure” and “intact”.

“The Council sincerely apologises to members of the public for the anxiety and inconvenience caused.”

It has been barely a week since WAEC released the results of the candidates that sat the 2021 WASSCE. The results as usual have been met with mixed reactions from both sides of the political divide. While the government is touting its Free Senior High School Policy for aiding the students to pass, the opposition has called on them[governing party] to stop singing praises and address the problems schools under the policy are faced with.
