The Takoradi Harbour Circuit Court A in the Western Region has granted bail worth GHS50,000 to the infamous pregnant and kidnapped woman Josephine Panyin Mensah.

This happened during court proceedings today Monday, September 27 where she was charged for deceiving a public officer and the publication of false news with intent to cause fear and panic. Madam Josephine Panyin Mensah pleaded not guilty.

The police in an update on the situation, also indicated on Friday, September 24, 2021, that the lady corroborated their position that kidnapping was also orchestrated with her consent.

Ms Mensah’s whole situation started after she left home for a dawn walk on Thursday, September 16 but allegedly went missing for days in an alleged kidnapping case that caught the whole country’s attention.

She was later found at Axim in the Western Region without any sign of a supposed nine-month baby bump, which raised suspicion of false claims.
