Under fire leader of the United Progressive Party, Akwasi Addai Odike during an interview on TV3 decried not having a way to approach the Kumasi Traditional Council to tell them to tamper justice with mercy following his comments targeted at Asantehene.

He explained that his banishment from the area exposes him to more risk in the sense that should some angry residents catch a glimpse of him he could be harmed.

“if anybody sees you around the vicinity, they can kill you,” he said

For him now it is his banishment from the area by the traditional authorities that are hindering him from at least expressing how remorseful he is after the controversial comments.

The UPP leader is being punished for calling out and slamming Manhyia while expressing his anger on the illegal mining canker in the region.

He has been banished from the area and the station, Oyerepa FM asked to shut down and as well render an apology to the traditional authorities. There is a meeting currently ongoing with other stakeholders in the media to address the situation.

An initial attempt made by the station to apologize to traditional authorities was not accepted hence them halting operations and involving stakeholders to appease the elders.
