Dr Ishmael Norman President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Institute for Security, Disaster and Emergency Studies has said the National Security Minister Hon Kan Dapaah needs to provide answers on how Aisha Huang got back to Ghana without security intelligence picking up intelligence.

Expressing his thoughts on the issue on TV3, Dr Norman said “This shows that the computer or data is not interoperable with National Security and Police. They should have been able to arrest her at the point of entry.

“There is a little bit of confusion of the immigration service about how they should handle Aisha.”

Dr Norman pointed out that he will not largely place the blame on the Ghana Immigration Service but expected the National Security to pick up this information.

He also expressed worry about the fact that it exposes Ghana’s porous nature in the fight against terrorism where he cited that if this was a terrorist so much damage could have been caused upon the said two weeks she resurfaced in the country.

Also, he said she could have her hands on some incriminating evidence against some officials leaving them with no choice but to protect her despite the havoc she is causing the environment.

“She knows she is protected by incriminating information she may be having on officials,” he added.
