Akuapem Poloo’s mother cries on live radio, begs pardon for her daughter

The distraught mother of actress Akuapem Poloo who has been sentenced to serve 90 days in prison has pleaded for pardon for her daughter. Aunty Lydia was uncontrollable and spoke amidst sobs during an interview with Kwasi Aboagye on Peace FM Entertainment Review.

She amongst other things lamented about how the issue has affected her family including her grandson who has refused to go to school due to the outcome of the case. She pleaded for clemency for her daughter for the sake of her grandson.

Akuapem Poloo was arraigned before the court for posting nude pictures with her 7-year-old son online. Having faced public backlash from all angles, she pulled down the content and apologized profusely for her immature actions.

That was not enough to spare her punishment as Child Rights International sued her for her actions. Months after, she has been convicted on her own plea and sentenced to 90 days in prison.

In the interview, the mother was loudly sobbing and begging for Akuapem Poloo to be pardoned. She added that her grandson who is just 7 years been traumatized and can’t even speak.
