The Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced that African Origin Travel and Sports Tourism will be the authorized ticket and hospitality agent for Ghana’s participation in the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
A release issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports confirmed the company is required to liaise with officials of the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to secure all necessary logistics and provide complete travel services.
Ghana and Nigeria are the only African countries to represent the African continent at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2022 in Costa Rica, with the continent having just two slots.
FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2022 will take place from August 10 to 28, 2022 in Costa Rica.
Although, no African team has won this competition before, both Ghana and Nigeria are no strangers to the tournament: Nigeria will be making an impressive 10th appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup while Ghana will be on their sixth consecutive qualification.
The competition will feature 16 teams divided into four groups. The matches will be played in two cities: San José and Alajuela.
