Accra Hearts of Oak stellar season has opened a wider door for the Phobians and their personnel and that was witnessed this week after the continental club masters’ duo scooped two top individual prizes to climax the season.

Samuel Boadu and his midfielder Ibrahim Salifu were adjudged Ghana Premier League Best Coach and Best Player of the Season respectively, beating off competitions from several top guns in their respective categories.

Mr Boadu who led the Phobians to a historic double and their first trophy in over a decade scooped the award despite strong competition from Great Olympics’ Annor Walker, Kotoko’s Mariano Baretto, Vladislav Viric of Dreams FC and Prosper Narteh Ogum of WAFA.

Salifu Ibrahim, on the other hand, had to fend off competition from clubmate Benjamin Afutu, Karela’s Diawisie Taylor who was the top scorer in the just-ended season, Gladson Awako who inspired Great Olympics’ fine campaign last season and Augustine Boakye of WAFA.

For their prizes, Samuel Boadu received a NASCO shopping voucher worth GHS8,000 and a trophy and Salifu Ibrahim received a shopping voucher worth GHS5,000, a trophy and a weekend stay for two at Alisa Hotels.

Another awardee was Diawise Taylor who was given a GHS3,000 shopping voucher and a trophy for being the top scorer of the season.
