Ghana national team head coach, Milovan Rajevac has named a 28-man squad for Ghana’s world cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa this month.

A few changes have been made with some of those who were present in the last squad missing and have been replaced by debutants and returnees. Mubarak Wakasu who missed the last two matches returns alongside KAS Eupen’s Manaf Nurudeen who replaces Danlad Ibrahim among the goalkeepers and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom.

There has been no commissions or additions in defence as Ismail Abdul Ganiyu remains the only local defender to have his name added. There is no new addition from the local front as Richard Attah, Ganiyu, Philemon Baffour and Fatawu Issahaku remain the only representatives from the Ghanaian league.

Edmund Addo of Sheriff Tiraspol and AS Roma’s Felix Afena Gyan are the players who have received their debut call ups into the team owing to their stellar performance in Europe for their respective clubs.
