Awudu Issaka - Former Ghana international footballer

Former Ghana international and the man called the ‘Disco Dancer’, Awudu Issaka has thrown his support behind Coach Otto Addo and the Black Stars ahead of their participation at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year.

Awudu Issaka was at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday to honour a game between the Borrusia Dortmund Legends and the African Giants (a select side of former African former internationals).

Known for his exploits in midfield, and also a World Cup winner at the youth level with Ghana U-17 in 1995, Awudu believed there was still talent in the team and with most foreign-born talents eager to join the team, Ghana has a chance.

“We’re building the team. The Inaki brothers are not yet in and other players are also ready they will come. The coach, I am sure that he will be able to do the job. So we are praying that all of us will give him our support. Ghana, we will go far.

Giving his opinion on whether Otto Addo will make a difference, the man called the ‘Disco Dancer’ said, “he [Otto Addo] will be able to do it. He’s been there before and anyone who has been there before is capable”. He, however, added that “God will do everything…..without God, one cannot do anything” when he was asked about the team’s chances of getting out of the group.
