Former Asante Kotoko defender ‘TV3’ passes on

Former Asante Kotoko and Ghana defender Godfred Yeboah popularly called ‘TV3’ has passed on according to reports. The incident is said to have occurred on Tuesday in Sunyani.

The defender who had a lengthy spell with the Ghanaian giants between 2003 and 2012 also played for Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC on loan from the Kumasi giants. He was a huge part of the Porcupine Warriors success during that period.

His last active club football was for Wa All Stars [Legon Cities FC] in 2008 and 2009 where he joined on loan from Kotoko. He was a Premier League champion with the Porcupine Warriors as well as a winner of the President’s Cup with the Kumasi-based side.

He represented Ghana at the international level playing for the national team between 2003 and 2008. He was featured four times for Ghana. Notable among his appearances for the Black Stars was a 2006 World Cup qualifier against Dr Congo.
