Dreams FC manhandled Accra Hearts of Oak at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu in their week 22 league encounter. The Still Believe boys produced two goals in the second half to sink the continental masters.

Two second-half goals from Ali Huzaif and Ibrahim Issah produced enough weight to sink the 10-man Phobians and send Dreams level on points with Hearts in the league table. The reverse fixture ended 3-0 in favour of Hearts of Oak in Accra courtesy of goals from Michelle Sarpong and Kwadwo Obeng Jnr.

However, coming into this match, Hearts were hit with a suspension to key players as they had to do without an influential trio of Raddy Ovuoka, Salifu Ibrahim and Kwadwo Obeng Jnr. The trio has been influential to Hearts good run all season and their absence was felt at Dawu today.

After an even first 45 minutes of action, they went for the break barren. Soon after the break, Nuru Sulley received his second booking in the 50th minute and was given his marching orders. The numerical advantage handed to Dreams was put to use as they soon found the opener with Ali Huzaif heading in a minute later.

Hearts went searching for an equalizer but could not break down the defence of the Dawu based side. Dreams pressed on to increase their tally and they got it in injury time with Ibrahim Issah putting the game beyond the Phobians reach.

The win saw Dreams move to fourth on the table, level on points with Hearts of Oak who occupy third despite the defeat to Dreams. Dreams will travel away to face Asante Kotoko at Obuasi on Saturday and Accra Hearts of Oak will welcome King Faisal to the Accra Sports Stadium a day later.
