Cephas Mantey leads Hunters past Kotoku Royals
Cephas Mantey’s solitary strike was all Bechem United needed to secure a victory over Kotoku Royals in the delayed betPawa week four fixture between the two sides.
Bechem United who lost both their opening two matches prior to today’s game were in much need of points to ease the pressure off Kassim Mingle Ocansey. They were also playing at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park for the first time this season having played the first two matches away from home.
Youngster Cephas Kofi Mantey who was making his first appearance for the season in a team that also had another youngster in Emmanuel Ababio also making his debut appearance of the season struck in the 51st minute to break the virginity of the game.
Clinton Duodu and Aaron Essel both missed due to national assignment with the Black Meteors while defender Samuel Osei Kuffour was absent after he switched clubs to join FC Felgueiras. Cameroonian import Gabriel Yapy Tenlep came on for Abdul Latif Anabila to make his debut for the Hunters.
Meanwhile, Seth Kwadwo was adjudged the NASCO Man of the Match.
