Antoine Semenyo marked his injury return to the championship with a remarkable goal against Wycombe Wanderers on Wednesday in the EFL Cup

Bristol City has progressed to the next round after recording a 3-1 victory.

Semenyo, 22 picked up an injury in his debut for Ghana Black Stars in a thrilling encounter against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifiers.

The forward was introduced in the second period of the game following his recovery from the injury which kept him sidelined for over a month.

Bristol broke the deadlock after 7 minutes of play. The game was levelled up in the second period through Al-Hamadi but in the 77th minute, Bristol regained their lead.

Semenyo, who was brought on in the 70th minute doubled the lead for Bristol in the dying minutes of the game to seal the win.

Reports claim that Everton, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are all eyeing a move for the Ghanaian forward.
