The 2022/23 UEFA Champions League group stage draw which took place today 25th August 18:00 local time in Istanbul, Turkey has brought about the most unpredictable groups in this season’s UCL.

The teams which are drawn into eight groups each comprised of four teams, have last season’s Champions Real Madrid in Group F with RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Celtic. 

Liverpool, who are losing finalist in last year’s edition have a tricky group comprising of Ajax, Napoli, and Rangers as the Anfield side would seek to go one step better this season.

Manchester City’s wait for the holy grail of European football will be tested with trips to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund. They also have Spanish side Sevilla to go past in the Citizens would make it past the group stages with Copenhagen the only side looking considerably less in strength.

Group A: Ajax, Liverpool, Napoli, Rangers

Group B: Porto, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Club Brugge

Group C: Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Viktoria Plzen

Group D: Frankfurt, Tottenham, Sporting, Marseille

Group E: AC Milan, Chelsea, Salzburg, Dinamo Zagreb

Group F: Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, Celtic

Group G: Man City, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund, Copenhagen

Group H: PSG, Juventus, Benfica, Maccabi Haifa
