Ampem Darkoa Ladies held by Bayelsa Queens in Women’s Champions League qualifiers
Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Ghana Women’s Premier League champions played out a goalless draw with Bayelsa Queens in their second group B game in the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers on Wednesday night.
The two teams top Group B in first and second place respectively after winning their first games in the tournament.
Bayelsa Queens beat Athleta FC 5-0, while Ampem Darkoa Ladies beat Burkina Faso’s USFA 3-0.
Heading into the final group stage game, both teams have four points each after none of them was able to break the deadlock in 90 minutes of play.
Ampem Darkoa’s Grace Acheampong was voted the Most Valuable Player in the match.
Burkina Faso’s USFA defeated Athleta Football Club 5-1, leaving them in third place with three points.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ last group game is on Sunday, August 28 against Atheta and just a point will progress the Ghanaian ladies to the semi-Final of the WAFU B Champions League qualifiers.
