We Will Seek Justice For All Who Lost Their Lives Defending Our Democracy – NDC
The National Democratic Congress has promised to do all it can to find justice for all who lost their lives defending their democracy during the 2020 General Elections.
This was contained in a communiqué signed by the General Secretary of the party after a 3-day Post-Election retreat held at Ho in the Volta Region. It is their resolve to seek justice for all who perished or got hurt in defense of the the country’s democracy at the polls in the December.
“Our deepest condolences go to all the families of those who lost their lives in the defence of our democracy,” the statement read. It continued, “these great men and women have attained martyrdom in the NDC and in our collective democratic pursuit, and the NDC will stop at nothing to seek justice for them.”
During the 2020 General Elections, there were reports of brutalities and the use of excessive force by security agencies to intimidate voters at various polling stations across the country. In particular, was Techiman South constituency where two people were reported dead and several others sustained injuries.
However, post elections, not much has been done to bring find justice for those who lost their lives and the party thinks they need to pursue that cause for the victims.
