UWR: NPP executives reconcile with minister, ready to welcome Akufo-Addo on Monday
The initial decision of the Upper West Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party not to involve themselves in preparations for President Akufo-Addo’s visit to the region on Monday 22nd August 2022 has been let go.
A common ground was finally found after the Upper West Regional Minister Dr Hafiz Bin-Salih and the party executives thrashed out their issues with each other.
As peace now reigns between both parties, the party faithful have been called upon to be in readiness to welcome President Akufo-Addo into the region to affirm their love for him.
The Upper West Regional Executive Committee explained that their initial decision to stay away from the Presidents visit was due to the minister, Dr Hafiiz Bin-Salih not involving them in the process.
A confirmation was then made by the Upper West Regional Secretary, Dr Dauda Tanko during an interview on Citi FM that they had now resolved the issue and hence they are back on track to help receive the President in the Region.
A statement signed by the Secretary said, “Further to this, we are urging all party supporters to get themselves ready to welcome His Excellency the President to the Region. We love our President and would welcome every opportunity that is offered us to receive him in the region”.
On what led to his attack after he was reportedly attacked earlier, Dr Dauda Tanko indicated that he was involved in a meeting with Minister Dr Hafiz Bin Salih that ended late hence he was targeted.
