Stan Xoese Dogbe, a former presidential staffer under the John Dramani Mahama-led administration has called out the presidency to adduce documents to back up claims from some of its officials to prove Mr. Mahama as former President received ex gratia to the tune of GHS14 million.

“Please do well to release in good time the ones that confirm the payment of GHS 14m in 2013 and another GHS 15m in ex gratia as was unintelligently spewed out earlier. Hope is it comes tonight. As for the circulation of internal Presidency memos, as though they were signed by JM; It is as though John Mahama came to steal vehicles from the Flagstaff House,” Stan Dogbe said.

Some officials of the ruling NPP government alleged that former President Mahama received GHS14m in 2013 and another GHS 15m in ex gratia. However, in an interview with TV3, Mr Mahama debunk the assertion and called it a blatant lie.

He then revealed that he as a former President does not benefit from most of the things that the constitution grants to former presidents of the republic.

Mr Mahama said during the interview, “I stay in my own house, I pay my electricity and water bills, I have rented my own office, I have not been paid ex gratia, I pay my staff at home and office, I have not received any 14m and 15m cedis, I take care of my medical bills, I pay for my tickets.”

The government in response to the above allegations made by the former President, on 13th September through its officials started circulating memos indicating the cars allocated to Mahama.

A presidential staffer under the current government Charles Nii Teiko Tagoe posted some of these memos and said “There was no need for Former President John Dramani Mahama to lie about his benefits and entitlements. These are your second set of cars as Former President under this administration”.

This led the former presidential staffer to say “President Mahama was clear in his response to the earlier Zombie’s claims! If you have any good responses, come and prove. Not these governance missteps and infantile reactions.

“Remember, what goes around comes around.

You can come with insults and not intelligent responses. I am waiting”

Ha ha ha!!

🤣🤣🤣

I am laughing hard at the desperation on display from the Chief of Staff and the President’s Secretariat- releasing and publishing, carelessly, documents from the Ghana Presidency.

Please do well to release in good time the ones that confirm the payment of GHS 14m in 2013 and another GHS 15m in ex gratia as was unintelligently spewed out earlier. Hope is comes tonight.

As for the circulation of internal Presidency memos, as though they were signed by JM; It is as though John Mahama came to steal vehicles from the Flagstaff House.

Is he not entitled to official vehicles as part of his out of office package, just as other former presidents? Something he ensured was handsomely done to other former leaders?

Or because Nana Addo is choosing to vary his entitlements because he thinks he is the lord over all that he surveys, that explains the excitement to reveal that JM was given vehicles, after the fact?

Aaaah! What’s the story behind the release of the documents? That?

Hurry up President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Chief of Staff Frema Opare and release details of the person you’ve been paying JM Office rent to. It will be good to let Ghanaians know.

And who has been receiving fuel from government in his name? Those are the issues he mentioned in response to the rubbish you sent your hatchet men out to spread or?

I am sure Madam Chief of Staff does not know that Nana Addo is not doing the 4 office staff of JM a favour with their raw monthly allowances.

That is a constitutional requirement, and which has arbitrarily being varied in the case of JM but without complain.

Check: staff of the office of the former presidents were paid monthly salaries, with official vehicles and other pecks. Just check. In fact, their offices were stocked and supported by the office of the Chief of Staff. Unlike those zombies you are just handing over official papers to circulate, I was an active player and can speak to these issues even when I am asleep.

JM’s staff receive quarterly payments. No vehicles or pecks. That’s not the norm, but none has raised issues.

You Know why? Because of the demeanour of President JM to such things.

You are not doing anyone a favour, Nana Akufo- Addo.

President Mahama was clear in his response to the earlier Zombie’s claims! If you have any good responses, come and prove. Not these governance missteps and infantile reactions.

Remember, what goes around comes around.

You can come with insults and not intelligent responses. I am waiting.
