Hon Henry Quartey, the strong-willed Minister of the Greater Accra Region made a shocking revelation that he had sensed some plot within his party to relegate his work and efforts to the background.

The schemers are intimating and complaining that he is becoming too powerful within the party.

The legislator for Ayawso Central boldly let this issue out during the New Patriotic Party’s delegates Conference held in Accra on Thursday, October 14 2021. According to him, the saboteurs are within the party and are not excited with his efforts and want it to go down the drain.

He stated that his saboteurs held a meeting to make non-sense all the efforts he has put into his work.

His “Make Accra Work Again” in the capital city has endeared the Minister and legislator to many people’s hearts as some inhabitants in the capital city continue to commend his efforts whiles others look on with hatred.

For someone facing such threats, he revealed to the  NPP delegates how he has been working in ensuring that he delivers on his mandate as expected.

The minister was pained that all cheers about the party wanting to break the eight mantras and his efforts in uniting the grassroots of the party they still speak and insult him behind his back.

He stated that just last week, some people met and said, “I am getting too much power in the region, so they are planning to bring me down. But when you do this, how do we break the eight? All I am doing is working for all of us. All we care about is our personal ambitions but let’s all realize that we have one agenda to break the eight.”

Henry Quartey also expressed outrage at the practice where party members take to social media to cast aspersions on some leaders of the party.

He however did not hesitate to suggest the suspension of party members who do not conduct themselves appropriately.

The unperturbed legislator sent a strong word of caution that nothing will stop him from doing his work as part of the ‘Let’s Make Accra Work’ campaign because so far as God exists, nothing will happen to him.

Henry Quartey upon assumption of office as the Regional Minister and under his “Let’s Make Accra Work” campaign, has undertaken several initiatives to provide lasting solutions to everyday challenges in the region, with the view to transform the national capital.
