Claims made by former President Mahama that he has not received ex gratia upon his exit from office have been rubbished by the New Patriotic Party.

Responding to the former president’s claims during a media briefing in Accra, Mr Richard Ahiagba Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party deemed Mr Mahama’s claims as false and insincere.

“The former President has told blatant lies. We have assembled relevant documents that prove that the former President lied and that, contrary to his claims, he has been indeed been enjoying privileges due him.”

“We did not want to share these private documents with the public, but they are already out there, so we will share them.”

The NPP’s reaction is in response to former President Mahama’s claims that he did not get the entitlements due to him as ex-president after he exited the highest office of the land and also added that he does not enjoy the privilege of having free utility.
