Alan Kyeremanteng calls for calm in NPP after unfortunate fighting incident at Suhum

​​Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanteng is not enthused about recent happenings at the Suhum constituency members of the New Patriotic Party exhibited their fighting skills in a free for all fight at a program.

This unfortunate situation has led to one person being hospitalized while others were injured to various degrees in the scuffle on Saturday, August 28 2021.

Mr Kyeremateng urged all well-meaning young patriots to condemn such actions and that should not be named amongst them.

He further deemed as false that the attacks were between his supporters and that of the Vice President, Dr Mahamud Bawumiah.  “These are mischievous means to bring my name and that of the vice president to public ridicule and disrepute,”’ said Alan Kyeremanteng.

The 2024 NPP flagbearer hopeful believes that this unfortunate scuffle whether stemming from the contest of position should not manifest into such violence and urge them to look at the ideals of the party and what the party stands for development in freedom and called for peaceful coexistence.

Also, he appealed to the  Eastern Regional, district and constituency levels of the party to take part in resolving the differences among the feuding members for peace and discipline to reign in the constituency.

 Mr Alan Kyeremanteng’s appeal comes on the back of the recent fight that ensued at a funeral among New Patriotic Party members which led to the hospitalization of one person. The driver for the Member of Parliament for Suhum was named to be allegedly involved in the scuffle and has bolted.
