Actor Prince David Osei has indicated that the NPP government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made celebrities who campaigned for the NPP look mindless.
There is a raging hue and cry among Ghanaians after the Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah indicated that the people of Ghana will be taxed to pay for the free water and electricity they enjoyed in the wake of COVID-19.
Several Ghanaians are shocked by the government’s move to bill the citizens when they communicated it as free. Some have even said that the government was deceptive just so it could win the election in 2020.
Adding his voice to the cry, Prince David Osei who campaigned on several platforms for the NPP has indicated that the NPP government with the latest move has made them look dumb and it’s imperative that the President rescinds the decision to tax Ghanaians on something that was said to be free.
His post shared on his social media platforms read “Pls, Mr President I believe in you! There can be another way of recuperating the money lost other then citizens paying for the free usage of water and electricity you affectionately offered to them.. Thank You @nakufoaddo“
Adding that “If we campaigned for #4More4Nana to do more on the premise of free water&electricity during the pandemic and we turn around to tax the people, then it makes some of us who championed the course look mindless!”
