We’ve no connections with GPRTU – Zoomlion denies towing levy claims
Claims made by Vice President of IMANI Africa, Bright Simmons, alleging that Zoomlion Ghana has gone into an agreement with the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) to force a towing insurance service on all members have been refuted by Zoomlion Ghana.
He went ahead to allege that, the said service will commence in October 2022.
But questioning the bases for his tweet, management of the company called Mr Simmons’ publication regrettable, repulsive and without any fact while refuting claims of any connection with GPRTU concerning a towing program.
Mr Simmons however risks facing legal action from the company if he does not retract the said publication and render an apology immediately.
“Zoomlion is concentrating on transforming the waste management sector of Ghana and will not be distracted by any person or group of persons in any way,” it stated.
