Some civil society organizations and pressure groups have have expressed their dissatisfaction with the continuous stay of the beleaguered owner of Labianca Company Limited Madam Eunice Jacqueline Asomah-Hinneh in office as member of the Council of State after the exposé by the Office of the Special Prosecutor fingered her company to be evading some taxes.

Pressure group, Alliance for Social Equity and Economic Accountability(ASEPA) has also joined in the calls by petitioning the presidency to get her sacked.

Per the Office of Special Prosecutor report, Madam  Eunice Jacqueline Asomah-Hinneh used her influence to evade taxes.

Mr Mensah Thompson, Executive Director of ASEPA is demanding that the President evoke the provisions in Article 89(6) of the constitution to relieve her of her post.

He stated that as an entity, ASEPA believes so far as the OSP’s probe has yielded some results in terms of refund, the case has moved from just allegations to a matter of substance which makes Madam Asomah- Hinneh not fit to occupy the position as the Council of State member hence the demand for her immediate removal.

“We deem the allegations very seriously and for the fact that, the OSP has conducted investigations and has come out with a report leading to the refund of money, it means that the case has moved from mere allegations to a matter of substance. So based on this, we have petitioned the President requesting the termination of Madam Asomah-Hinneh as a member of the council of state on grounds of stated misbehaviour,” Mensah Thompson, ASEPA.
