We Will Convert Abandoned Police Station Into Guest House -Danchira Youth Threaten
The youth of Danchira in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region are threatening to convert an abandoned police station into a guest house. They have given the IGP two weeks to act else they follow through with their threats.
Speaking to the media, the Youth lamented how the lack of a police station in the area has increased criminal activities especially that of Land guards. They said the Police station has been ignored for the past seven years.
They said all efforts to get the member of parliament for Obom Domeabra constituency, Sophia Akuako and the MCE, Joseph Nyarni Stephen to push for the station to begin operation have fallen on deaf ears.
Assemblyman for Danchira Electoral area, Ahotor Ebenezer, said he and his people have been living in fear due to the situation. He said the issue has been raised to the IGP, MP ,and the MCE to act but no results yet. That he said has led him to offer his support to the youth idea of turning the facility into a guest house if authorities do not act promptly.
