Ministry of Health Denies myjoyonline.com publication as they explain the contract for sputnik-v
The Government of Ghana through the Health Ministry has countered a publication by myjoyonline.com concerning the sputnik vaccines.
In statement, the Ministry told the public that the report in that publication is not true. The statement went further to clarify that the agreement between Ghana’s Health Ministry and St Global was priced at $18.5 as at 14th April 2021.
It explained that this was to become effective on condition that Ghana orders per delivery schedule letters of credit issued to underwrite the transactions.
As it stands now no orders have been made so far and no letters of credit have been issued.
The health ministry further assures that in the midst of global supply shortages the ministry considers this a viable option to protect the Ghanaian populace.
Government will continue to work assiduously to procure enough vaccines the Health Ministry assures again.
