Ursula Owusu cannot deactivate unregistered SIM cards by September 30 – Sam George

Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Honourable Sam Nartey George has called the bluff of the threats and yet to be rolled out policy by the Minister of Communication to deactivate unregistered SIM cards by September 30, stating that the directive from Ursula Owusu is not possible.

He argued that the directive to deactivate the SIM cards of over 2 million Ghanaians come 30th September cannot happened. He explained that the Minister is only hiding behind administrative powers.

Sam George added that the National Communications Authority subsequently realized their action on 5th September of barring calls on cell phone subscribers was a folly directive from the Minister.

“Information available to me is that the National Communications Authority Ghana has realised the folly of the directive from the Minister for Communications and is seeking to quietly tell the MNOs to stop the call barring,” he said.

The Ningo-Prampram law maker assured Ghanaians of his relentless fight to sanitize the mess of Ursula Owusu.

“We would not relent in exposing the arrogant incompetence and technical deficiency of the Minister and her team. We would proceed with the fight in Courts and at the Committee level,” he said.

I can assure Honourable Ursula Owusu that this is a battle to the logical conclusion. She should stop hiding behind administrative powers and admit she got it wrong. I repeat, she cannot deactivate the SIM cards on 2 million+ Ghanaians come September 30th.

For the time being, expect to gain full access of your SIM cards starting from tomorrow.

For GOD and Country. 🦁🇬🇭
