Reverend Owusu Bempah and three others arrested, set for court today

Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah has found himself in the grips of the Police following his arrest yesterday and he would be arraigned before a court today, September 13, 2021.

Mr Bempah, the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International was arrested along with three others who have been identified as Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene and Nathaniel Agyekum yesterday, Sunday at the premises of his church.

According to a Police statement, “the suspects have been detained for further investigations for the creation and circulation of multiple videos containing threats, the brandishing of a weapon and the assault of some Police personnel”.

The Police explained that during the operation to arrest the suspects after they analyzed they said video they[suspects] circulated, “some members of the church, believed to have been under the direction of Reverend Owusu Bempah assaulted some Police officers”.

Owusu Bempah and the other three have been scheduled to appear in court today while the Police remain in pursuit of two other suspects who are currently on the run. The Police have also promised an impartial investigation into the incident.
