IGP visits injured Police officers in Bono Region

Dr George Akuffo Dampare, the Acting Inspector General of Police together with his entourage from the National Police Headquarters and Bono Regional Police Command on Sunday, August 22, 2021, visited four (4) Police personnel who have suffered various degrees of injury whilst on duty and are now incapacitated.

The kind visit by the Acting Inspector General of Police was made known by the Ghana Police Service with the move regarded by social commentators as prudent and an exercise of maturity on the part of the Acting IGP.

He led his team to visit the injured officers at their respective homes in a bid to empathize with them and as well be appreciative to them for risking their lives to the service of the nation which has got them in the situations they are currently.

The injured personnel include No.48412 Corporal Issaka Akurugu of Bono RDF, No. 51947 Lance Corporal Bernard Sefa of Bono Regional Operation, Sunyani, No. 50727 Lance Corporal Anane Bosoka, of Regional MTTD Sunyani and No. 50416 Lance Corporal Collins Baah of Bono East Regional Visibility, Techiman.

Members of the entourage that embarked on the visit with Dr Dampare were the Director-General (Research) and Planning COP Mr Paul Awini; Director-General (Services), DCOP Mr Adutwum Bediako; Director-General (Welfare), DCOP Mrs Habiba Twumasi Sarpong; Regional Commander, Bono, DCOP Mr Godfred Owusu Boateng and other senior officers from the region.
