Col Kwadwo Damoah (RTD), Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority has taken on the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, claiming the Special Prosecutor’s recent investigations are attempts to denigrate his[Kwadwo Damoah] hard-won reputation.

The Commissioner in reacting to the allegations levelled against him and some senior  Customs officials during a retreat at Kumasi insisted the allegations are aimed at just denting his reputation and hard work.

He also pointed accusing fingers at some dissatisfied workers who are jealous of his current achievements in the sector.

For him, as long as he is still at the post he will not kowtow to attempts meant to intimidate him and his workers.

Col Damoah reiterated this stance by referring to the recent report published by the Special Prosecutor that has become topical in the media space stating that it was meant to put him and the Deputy Commissioner of Operations in a bad light.

“Luckily for me, God is always on my side. Before that report came, that person had made a comment to some people who had come to tell me [that] he [Special Prosecutor] was going to publish that will discredit me…and I sent people to go and tell him that he is a small boy and I am older than him. I have lived a meaningful life and if he attempts to destroy me it won’t be easy for him. People have tried and I have survived and this one too I will survive it,” Col Damoah revealed.

He was also of the view that he preventing Mr Akurugu from becoming Mr Kissi Agyebeng’s  deputy has now made him a target for the special prosecutor
