After almost three weeks of feuding between residents of the Krobo enclave and the Electricity Company of Ghana, things are said to be gradually falling into place as maintenance works have been commenced by the ECG in the enclave in anticipation of the restoration of power.

This will be a huge sigh of relief for the residents after the impasse condemned them to darkness for nearly three weeks.

Stakeholder engagements involving the ECG, leaders and the residents within the Krobo township to find a common ground to address the situation is the result of the latest development.

Meanwhile, a relieved Mr Samuel Tetteh, Municipal Chief Executive for Lower Manya Krobo is optimistic about the restoration of power within the shortest possible time.

“Now that the transformers are being repaired, we are highly expectant that power will be restored. We hope no other development forestalls this. It has not been easy these past weeks.

“We are just urging our people to remain calm because the matter is being resolved and very soon we will see an end to the blackouts we are experiencing.”
