Gomoa Adzintem: 4 Fulani herdsmen rape 13-year girl and butcher her father
Ann. A Massive Demonstration has taken place at Gomoa Adzintem after four Fulani herdsmen gang-defiled a thirteen-year-old girl after which they severely butchered her father almost to death on Thursday in the Gomoa East District of Central Region.
The youth have mounted massive demonstrations and threatened to assault and kill any Fulani herdsman who is spotted in their community.
Some of the aggrieved demonstrators speaking to Joynews complained bitterly over the rampant maltreatment community members endure often in the hands of Fulani herdsmen in Gomoa Adzintem. According to indigenes, these Fulani Herdsmen have been destroying their farms, crops and terrorizing them.
Meanwhile, the Chief of the community Nana Obrempong Essel Andoh lamented unfortunate incidents perpetrated by the Fulani herdsmen. he appealed to the IGP COP George Akuffo Dampare to beef up security in the area. He noted that the incident has been reported to the Gomoa Dominase District Police command but no one arrest has been made.
According to the Odikro of Adzintem, he received a call on Wednesday from one of his community members saying there are arm robbers in the community and they have attacked one man named Rasta with a gun and also raped his 13-year-old daughter. The victims he said have been admitted at the hospital and the youth have risen to demonstrate against the Fulani men.
He wants the Police to take up the matter identify the perpetrators of the heinous act. He said the girl said she can identify the men who raped her so his appeal is to the Police to facilitate that process for the culprits to be apprehended.
