To ensure Senior High School placements are devoid of errors, the Ghana Education Service and  Computerized School Selection and Placement Secretariat (CSSPS) in a statement dated 15th February 2022 and endorsed by its head of Public Relations Unit, Cassandra Twum Ampofo has announced to the public especially parents, teachers and the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination candidates that it has made available the SHS choices selected by the 2021 BECE candidate through bulk SMS and USSD messaging for verification and adequate confirmation.

As part of the process, the stakeholders involved are being notified that a bulk SMS of the SHS the candidate selected will be sent to the contact numbers provided during the selection process.

This is to enable candidates immediately check through the SHS they selected and inform their heads of schools if there are any mistakes for the necessary corrections  to be effected

Apart from the bulk SMS to be sent for the candidates perusal a short code *899 * 88# has been made available to follow to also verify the choices made via USSD an online portal has been provided to serve this same purpose.

All are to take note that this verification exercise commences on Wednesday, February 16th 2022 and closes on 22nd February 2022.

Candidates are also advised that this is not a new process of school selection and therefore schools chosen cannot be changed except there is an error to warrant the change.

Parents, teachers and candidates are urged to take note and act accordingly.

It will be recalled that 2021 BECE candidates have been home for some time now and this serves as part of the process for them to commence their new academic journey.
