A near fatal accident on the Nante stretch of the Kintampo – Techiman Highway has left five passengers in critical conditions whiles several others sustained various degrees of minor injuries.
Five persons who sustained various degrees of severe injuries have been referred from the Kintampo Government Hospital to other hospitals for specialists attention.
The seventeen others who escaped with minor injuries have been attended to and discharged at the Kintampo Government Hospital.
This follows an accident that occurred last night at Nante in the Kintampo South District on the Techiman- Kintampo stretch of the Highway.
The accident involving a 47 seater bus with registration number GT 6241-18 was moving from Kumasi towards Bolgatanga.
Senior Physician Assistant on duty at Kintampo Government Hospital, Richmond Manambi, narrated the current conditions of the victims.
According to the driver’s mate, Apasco Mohammed, the driver lost control of the steering after crossing a speed trump and veered of the road which led the bus tk fall on other side of the road.
Some of the passengers who sustained minor injuries also share their ordeal.
